Missing figure
editJust to say that this article is missing its "Figure 1" in Collision-induced absorption and emission#An example of CIA spectra
The article it comes from is behind a paywall. I wonder if perhaps the author of this article wasn't able to get permission for it to be released under a suitable license for wikipedia? Try sourcing another figure?
Needs language improvement
editI am familiar with this concept and still find this article extremely hard to read. I can't imagine what a student or curious person would take away from this. I am of the impression this was copied from another source somewhat rushed and the language was not reset to the standards of Wikipedia. If anyone is able to make this more approachable to people new to the concept that would be great. This would mean doing things like 1) reducing jargon and high level terms 2)adding images 3) reworking the hierarchical structure (it is very hard to tell how the sub headings fit into one another. (e.g. is the interaction induced dipole an example of CIA? something similar?) 4) improving flow to introduce concepts 5) possibly adding more examples or exploring further why these different processes happen in different scenarios
