hi there. i just changed the sentence about unreacted lye BACK to my original text: "LOW pH". please consult the Sodium hydroxide section carefully if you don't think i'm right. BASES have low pH, ACIDS have high pH.

Sorry, you are wrong. See the pH article. Bases have pH >7, acids <7. LHOON 12:27, 13 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

right now it says: Contrary to popular belief, perpetuated in several popular crafting books, the soap is perfectly safe to use before curing—no excess lye will be present if the soap was properly formulated.

does anyone have a source for this?
