I have removed this "The author Thomas Stanley was born in Clothall in 1625 and is buried in the church.^[1]" because he was born in Cumberlow, which may have been in the parish of Rushden or Clothall, but certainly not in the village, and he was buried at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
