This system is not well known, but there are good references in English and it seemed to be important in the transition to widescreen digital broadcasts in Japan. There's some minor overlap with the EDTV article, but this really deservers it own article. The article can be expanded by listing compatible TV sets, consumer reactions, etc. There is extra information on the Japanese articles about Clear Vision クリアビジョン and Wide clear vision ワイドクリアビジョン:
