"House" of Clarence: wildly unlikely edit

Since there's no "House" of Clarence, the naming of the town— as "Clarence Hollow"— at a time when the Duke of Clarence, for whom the royal dukedom had been recreated in 1789, was Prince William, created Duke of Clarence and St Andrews, a younger son of George III who later reigned as King William IV, doubt is cast on this most unlikely eponym in the years just before the War of 1812. From ca 1801 the settlement round Asa Ransom's tavern was called "Ransomville", then "Clarence Hollow", before it became Clarence (see "Holland Land Company"). Hollows are generally named for local residents, perhaps never for royal dukes. Too bad to be passing such babble all round the Internet. The history section could be revised to its advantage from material Truman C. White, History of Clarence Boston, 1898, on-line here.--Wetman (talk) 11:00, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Colgan Crash edit

...deleted the section in 'Education' for the Colgan/Continental crash, as it clearly should not go under this category. 65.215.94.13 (talk) 18:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Suspected Vandalism edit

When I visited this page, I noticed that someone replaced the original title of the Colgan Air crash section with the phrase "no it didn't". I have restored the original name. Even though I can't be certain, I suspect someone vandalized this section of the article, apparently in an attempt to make people believe that this crash never happened. Who would do such a thing?
