Add information about DMM; Sequoia/Paradigm Investment

Hi, I would like to ask for the two following edits:

  1. In the Market maker section, directly after the sentence that begins "In October 2020..." please add the following 2 sentences: The purchase made Citadel Securities the largest designated market maker (DMM) on the NYSE, overseeing over 1,500 NYSE-listed securities.[1][2] As of January 2022, the firm oversaw more than 2,000 listed securities.[3]
  2. After the last sentence added above, please create a new section called "Partnerships". Add the following to the new section: In January 2022, Citadel Securities announced that leading venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and Paradigm had made a $1.15 billion investment in the firm. The transaction valued Citadel Securities at approximately $22 billion and was seen as “a bet on disrupting Wall Street.”[4][5]

Add two new sections

Hello. I’d like to request the addition of the following two sections, to be placed directly underneath the "Market maker" section.

  • The first new section can be called "Summer internship program" with the following content:
Citadel Securities' summer internship program accepts less than 1 percent of those who apply. The 290 2022 interns included finalists of the Putnam math competition, chess grandmasters, and a NASA researcher.[1] Most were college seniors, and about half were software engineers, while the rest included quantitative researchers and traders.[2]
  • The second new section can be called "Corporate culture" with the following content:
Citadel Securities is known for its "deeply technical and engineering culture." The firm offers programs in data analysis, data sciences, cloud computing, and Python and other computer languages as part of its culture of continuous learning.[3]
Several Citadel Securities employees have been recognized for their contributions, including Vahe Musoyan, who was named as "one of the most influential quants on Wall Street;"[4] Shay Deverell, compliance manager and assistant general counsel at the company received the "Women in Derivatives' Rising Star Award in 2022,[5] and was recognized as a Woman Mentor of the Year in 2020 by the Security Traders Association;[6] head of government and regulatory policy for Europe, Virginie Saade,[7] was recognized in 2022 as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Finance.[8]

Mentioning Ptrnext, who has been very helpful in updating the page in the past. Thanks so much. Cduffymul (talk) 15:38, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello @Cduffymul: The corporate culture section appears to be promotional. Also, awards won by non-notable (without their own article) employees doesn't belong here. I'll keep this open in case another editor wants to add about the intern program. Best, Ptrnext (talk) 05:03, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
Thanks Ptrnext for examining my edit request and your feedback. I understand your perspective on the "Corporate culture" section. I’ll use the opportunity to alter the “Internship” content as well so that it can be implemented. Thanks again. Cduffymul (talk) 19:58, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
