Cinebench Fancruft edit

This wikipedia article seem to be created by a specific group and seem to be editing one sided information does not belong in Wikipedia. Regice2020 (talk) 18:31, 7 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've edited this encyclopedia for 13 years, this program is used by every tech youtuber and performance tests. Valoem talk contrib 23:06, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
I approve Valoem's comment. It is now more of a tool to test CPU performance and bechmarks rather than checking your PC compatability with C4d. Pakieditor (talk) 04:26, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed Content Removal edit

Cinebench Wikipedia article needs to expand information focused more on Cinebench software rather then focusing on "This competitor is better than this competitor". Also, to prevent or reduce it from happening again. Removing content that does not belong here.

In August 2019, Cinebench showed that the Ryzen 5 3600 was "completely dominant" and was able to match the Core i5-9600K ranking the Ryzen 5 3600 as one of the best CPU under $200.

Review: After seeing the word "completely dominant". Feels like a specific person posted his or her opinion to say "I am crushed your score, so i am better than you".

Intel demostrated in 2019 that their 9th generation core CPU outperformed AMD's Ryzen 3000 in everything except Cinebench.

Review: This content better to be removed because it does not belong in the article. . Saying "I am crushed your score, so i am better than you except for 1 game".

Cinebench is commonly used by popular tech show YouTuber host, Linus Sebastian, as a benchmark program to test a computer's performance.

Review: This is a fan opinion. Regice2020 (talk) 17:50, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Discussion (Support or Oppose) edit

@Regice2020:, You need read the content before posting, the "complete dominate" is talking about the Ryzen 5 not Cinebench, in fact Cinebench is only benchmarker. You need to understand the rules of WP before editing. Valoem talk contrib 16:28, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

What does Linus commonly using Cinebench have to do with Cinebench Software? I mean i can say Regice2020 commonly used Cinebench and put it on there, Regice2020 (talk) 02:02, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
If you are the number 1 tech vlogger on youtube with over 8 million subs then the programs you use regularly to test computers is notable. Valoem talk contrib 15:23, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes just like many people on youtube commonly Cinebench, but what does individual has do with the software Cinebench. Did he help code Cinebench or he just "notable" for commonly using Cinebench? If that so, then i can put on this article "Cinebench is commonly used by a Wikipedia user Regice2020 as a benchmark program to test a computer's performance".

Another issue on this article is,

In August 2019, Cinebench showed that the Ryzen 5 3600 was "completely dominant" and was able to match the Core i5-9600K ranking the Ryzen 5 3600 as one of the best CPU under $200.

This more like a "Pro-AMD" content and shall be replaced with details to focus on Cinebench software instead. Regice2020 (talk) 17:27, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

I have tagged this article with "Needs more references" because at present not one of the sources cited is about Cinebench: they all just mention it in passing. Without independent reliable sources that discuss Cinebench in depth, there is nothing that establishes that it is notable. --ColinFine (talk) 21:38, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
