I removed the following from the article because I really don't think RPG stats belong in Wikipedia. Since large numbers of these "vital stats" sections have been added to various articles, I'm using Talk:Strength level (comics) to discuss this issue in general. Bryan 02:11, 31 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Name - Brothers Karamozov reference?

edit

The name Smerdakov seems like a fairly direct allusion to Dostoevsky's Brothers Karamazov, but I don't know of any references that would support this idea, and I'm not too familiar with the Chameleon character in the first place. Can anyone dig some up? --thither 23:52, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why is that Image here?

edit

That's...the Ultra-Adaptoid, POSING as Chameleon. So, the image is therefore inappropriate. Permission to RM? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.7.78 (talk) 21:07, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Chameleon 2211.jpg

edit

Image:Chameleon 2211.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Chameleon rapes Michele (because she thinks he's Peter when they "it" on the kitchen floor) a mention of this would be nice. And the fact it was later retconned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.108.143.82 (talk) 02:20, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Citation and Expansion

edit

This article is incomplete and undersourced and incomplete, with some information being unsourced. The publication history could be expanded a bit more, with citations for its information. There is a lot of information on the character's appearances in both the comics and other media that is unsourced and needs to be given proper citations for its information. Considering that Chameleon is Spider Man's first villain (other than the robber) It's sad to see this in the poor shape that it is. I wish that this and other articles on Spider-Man characters (and comic book characters in general) expanded to their full potential. Hopefully someone will come along and give this article the attention it needs.--Paleface Jack 23:09, 21 December 2017 (UTC)

LGBT category

edit

If he confessed love for Peter shouldn't he have some sort of LGBT characters category? Promestein (talk) 19:30, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
