Second double bond edit

Carbon heptoxide? edit
Does carbon heptoxide (CO7) exist? If so, what are its chemical and physical properties? For that matter, what are the properties of carbon hexoxide? This talks about its composition, but not about its properties. What does CO6 have as properties? DN-boards1 (talk) 23:35, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
- No one apart from you seems to have written about carbon heptoxide. "carbon octoxide" seems to be more talked about, but no more real. As for properties, I suspect it only has been made in a mixture, and it decomposes above 60K. There are probably spectral properties known. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:53, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
