This is Carbon County's primary retail centre and unfortunately lacks its own homepage. Heff01 (talk) 20:51, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am trying to obtain a fact sheet and possibly history for the mall from Carbon Dack. Heff01 (talk) 18:53, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

It looks like I'll have to send my request by surface mail. Heff01 (talk) 17:54, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Went up there this afternoon, but still no physical directory. Heff01 (talk) 21:31, 16 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Carbon Plaza Mall has a little over 20 stores, not counting external restaurants. The Giant is very large, particularly for a relatively-small market, and competitive with the nearby WalMart Supercenter. The indoor portion has Giant on the east end and Rite Aid on the west, with the cinema and additional stores including Big Lots west of the Rite Aid. Heff01 (talk) 19:42, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bright's history

edit

Any history on Bright's Department Store? It was in downtown Lehighton until the mall opened and it was purchased by Laneco in 1991. Laneco closed Bright's before WalMart even broke ground at its original site across Blakeslee Blvd where Lowe's opened last month. I have Bright's on the list of defunct department stores of the United States. Heff01 (talk) 22:31, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

The photo link caption is incorrect about Bright's closing. It has that at 1997-98. Heff01 (talk) 18:45, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any documentation for Grant's and Bright's? Also, what happened to the image link? Heff01 (talk) 23:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Theatre

edit

This is sad news indeed about Mahoning Valley Cinemas being unable to reopen. My Mother grew up on the north side of Lehighton. I feel sorry for the residents of Carbon and eastern Schuylkill Counties because of how far they will have to go to a multi-screen theatre. Meanwhile, is there an editor who can help with getting the citation correct? I am not proficient in HTML and do a lot of copying and pasting. Heff01 (talk) 15:59, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
