• "... who deemed it for being smooth, tender and lovely" --> I'd prefer "praised"
• "...picking the song" --> and picked

Background and composition

• "Even though not writing by herself" --> Although Jackson didn't write the song
• "...R&B "smooth and jazzy" ballad" --> "smooth and jazzy" before R&B
• "Janet Jackson" --> Once you mentioned the full name you should only mention the last name consequently

Reception

• " Allmusic" is now "AllMusic"
• Unitalicized BBC Music
• "...but due to its lack of melody, failed to do so" --> but failed to do so due to...
• I can see that you use to much "of", replace them with "writing for", "from"... or something else

Remix, charts, credits

• Fine

• Ref #1 should be AllMusic, not Allmusic, and the publisher is All Media Network
• Ref #9 unitalicized Digital Spy
• Ref #16 unitalicized BBC News
• Refs #17 and #18 are not employ with the other refs' dates. Fix it
