Talk:Cain and Abel in Islam

First ever sin? edit

The statement that "Cain, out of jealousy, slew Abel. This was the first ever sin committed upon Earth" is at odds with the Bible. Adam disobeyed the commandment to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the apostle Paul in the new testament says:

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Since the article is about "Cain and Abel", not "Qabil and Habil", some further contrasts from the Bible might be added.

The key word here is "upon earth"!.. Muslims believe that the Garden was in Heaven not on Earth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.46.2.208 (talk) 11:59, 18 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
