I uploaded a new CNBC picture (with the new graphics)...I hope I did everything according to Wikipedia standards (sourcing and whatnot). If not, please feel free to fix it as I am not 100%. Thanks Vikramsidhu

Expanding/Maintaining CNBC Article

While this article need expanding it does not need to become cluttered with information that does not belong, that is referenced elsewhere or has no meaning. Two examples:

• The initials CNBC had previously been used by a Dutch-based English language pirate radio station - the Commercial Neutral Broadcasting Company. = This information is already covered at the top of the page with a disambiguation direct. This information has no relationship to the article outside of the disambiguation.
• TitanTV "callsigns" CNBC U.S.: CNBC CNBC Canada: CNBCC CNBC World: CNBCWO = This information sprawled with a lot spacing and yet it is totally meaningless. What is TitanTV? It is shown with a non-functioning sub-head link! The "callsigns" are also meaningless. What do they mean and who is supposed to gain knowledge by this information?

Please help to keep this article free from stuff that is not related to the General Electric CNBC channel, otherwise it is going to become a rubbish dump. MPLX/MH 00:43, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)

• This building was the first building NBC has ever built for the specific use of broadcasting. = It was in reference to the CNBC new headquarters. I do not believe that General Electric and NBC have never commissioned buildings to built for broadcasting purposes and I doubt that I will have to search very far to come up with a long list of GE/NBC buildings that were built for the specific use of broadcasting. CNBC announcer/voiceover

What is the name of the CNBC announcer/voiceover who speaks on introductions to programs and before commercial breaks, for example on the voiceovers for Kudlow & Company? 2004-12-29T22:45Z 22:20, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)

Package date

I believe the 2003-2005 package started in October 2003 not September. I know that because the new studio, and all of the packaging started on Columbus Day 2003. I don't remember the exact date, but I know for sure it was in October 2003. Steven312 02:34, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

The date that the music/graphics package started was in fact Columbus Day 2003 October 13,2003.

Question: Does anyone have any screen grabs of previous graphics packages to add to the article for comparison? Also does anyone know who does the present music package? Thanks. Thanks for the current show logos and the previous screen grabs of the graphics. 6/18/06.

CNBC Name and origins

Did NBC launch CNBC or did they buy it from another corporation? Would be a bit of a coincidence if the station just happened to be called CNBC, hehe... I always thought it was an abbreviation for "Cable-NBC" --Pneumaman 10:19, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

No NBC did launch the channel! In the begining it was called Consumer News & Business Channel.

I put up a screen shot from 1989 (the year the network was launched), before the CNBC/FNN merger...looks radically different from what we see today! Vikramsidhu 16:48, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
