Name Change

If this article is kept it should be renamed "CAUSA International". There are now other organizations named "Causa". Most of them deal with immigration issues in the USA. Steve Dufour (talk) 05:09, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Quote from Christianity Today

• Godism, according to the CAUSA Lecture Manual, was developed by Moon as "a winning solution" to communism. "Through extraordinary communication with God, he [Moon] came to see clearly that there is no way we can eliminate communism if we do not confront it with a superior ideology or worldview." One of its main precepts parallels Unification teaching: "All mankind should be united, for we are all the children of God." [1]

The above quote is a direct copy and paste from the Christianity Today website. I did not understand either of the two reasons for deleting it. --Uncle Ed (talk) 20:55, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

1. It's a misquote -- the actual quote starts off "Godism, according to the CA USA Lecture Manual..." (note the space) So no Ed, it is not "a direct copy and paste". Given that it was a four page article I, not unreasonably, simply did a pattern search for it -- which failed to turn it up.
2. "Through extraordinary communication with God" = blatant eulogising

It is misquote by CT more than from Uncle Ed. It is clear, that whole article is about CAUSA International. CAUSA have nothing to do with USA, so someone made a mistake.--DeeMusil (talk) 20:36, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Explaining change of wording from source

Christianity Today said: "Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church is conducting a political outreach to evangelical and fundamentalist pastors through CAUSA, an anti-Communist organization with headquarters in New York City." I changed "pastors" to "Christian leaders" since "pastor" is church jargon, good in CT but more general term seemed better to me for WP. Borock (talk) 15:06, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
