New England?

Why the New England thing? It reads like more New England propaganda. Go to Bridgeport and see if "New England" is something that is known to them. New England is seen as those states to the north and east of CT. Bridgeport and CT are clearly in the NY/NJ/CT Tri-state region and wear it proudly. Why does Boston/New England keep trying so desperately to show CT as being with them? Articles should reflect reality, not a desperate city's attempts to seize markets outside of it's own. Bridgeport is undisputed NYC market. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.93.188 (talk) 04:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Bridgeport is very much in New England, as is the entirity of Connecticut. While it is a part of the NYC Metro Area, historically, culturally, politically, and even economically it is part of the rest of New England, but it is also good to note it has an internal economy of it's own.

BS. Nothing about Bridgeport screams New England and everything about screams New York. The city government (I have been there), the people, the TV etc., are all about NY and New England is not on the map. Boston and Philly, two desperate cities. Just deal with your own regions and leave uus alone. Stop trying to downplay our being in the NYC region. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.93.188 (talk) 02:25, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

I think it's worth noting that all of the pictures of Bridgeport are taken in downtown Bridgeport and are thus within just a few blocks of each other. In particular, the Barnum Museum is connected to the Bridgeport Towers. There is more to Bridgeport than the downtown--some of it nice, even! 71.125.79.207 05:29, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to add more divers pictures.--Loodog 13:39, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Zip Code

Why is the zip code listed as 066xx? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tetty2 (talkcontribs) 18:47, 17 April 2007 (UTC).

Because depending on where you are in the city, the zip code can range from 06601 to 06699. There's a great explanation about zip code allocation at the article Zip code. —Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 16:48, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
I've just fixed this, as it is inaccurate -- 06614 & 15 are Stratford, 06611 is Trumbull, etc. Markvs88 (talk)

Kelly removed from People from Bridgeport section

I removed a note someone added to the People section mentioning a Sgt. Kelly Ryan involved in the Big Red One infantry in World War II. I Googled "Kelly Ryan" and "Big Red One" and couldn't find any actual matches. If anyone wants to add him back, please provide a source. Noroton 18:07, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Avg Temperature Table

All the scarlet and orange colors make it look as if this should be in Mississippi. Colors should be more appropriate for a northeastern state and temperatures.--Parkwells (talk) 17:45, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
