Infobox

edit
  • Format the "Recorded" section by putting semicolon after year it was recorded, followed by recording studio, and its location (Ex: 2011; Chalice Recording Studios (Hollywood, Los Angeles)
  • "London, England" should not be there unless another studio was mentioned where Bieber recorded the song
  • The lead section mentions Bieber co-writing this song, but he is not credited in the "Writers" section

Lead

edit
  • "Boyfriend" is a song by Canadian artist Justin Bieber, released as the first single from his third studio album, Believe (2012). The phrase "studio album" should not be wiki-linked
  • As part of promotion for the song, Bieber performed "Boyfriend" at the final second season of The Voice, and the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Change "final second season" to "second season finale"; Add "at" between "and" and "the"

Chart performance

edit
  • The song debuted at number 2 on the chart, only being held off the top spot by "We Are Young" by Fun. and Danielle Monáe. Change "2" to "two" since it is less than ten; Wiki-link "We Are Young","Fun", and "Danielle Monáe"

After thoroughly reviewing this article, I have decided to put it on hold at this time. I will give you the general seven days to fix these mistakes and/or address issues which you believe do not concern good article status. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Sorry for the late response; I didn't realize you were done addressing all of the issues. Since they have all been addressed, I feel comfortable putting this article into good article status. Keep up the good work! Rp0211 (talk2me) 22:40, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some comments

edit

Lead

edit
  • "released as the first single" --> lead single
  • "The cover art was released" --> How can a cover art be released? You mean revealed?
  • and number two in The United Kingdom" --> 'the' should not have a capital T
  • "The song is the second-highest-ever debut digital sales week in the United States, and has also charted at number 10 on the Pop Songs component chart." --> Don't go well in one sentence
  • music video --> music video
  • "the video broke the VEVO record" --> WHAT record? Should be stated earlier in the sentence

This is from the lead alone. I'll be making more comments soon for improvements. Till 12:37, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

References

edit
  • You need to change every reference that is in capital letters to normal, for example ref. 9 and beyond.
  • Refs. 8 and 34 are from Idolator and Buzz Media, both linked twice, so unlink 34.
  • Ref 51 --> Work and publisher are: iTunes Store. Apple
  • Inconsistency with January 1, 2000 and 2000-01-01. Choose one or the other.
  • Ref. 30 is missing the author (if retrieve-able), work and publisher.
