Seeing something with title like this at GAN is too funny for me to not review :P. I should have my first comments up within a few days. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Let's start with the infobox and lead section.

Infobox edit

Lead edit

  • We only need a link to "Kunt and the Gang", not to "The Kunts".
  • Two sentences doesn't seem like enough for a paragraph (which I see gets used for all three that are currently in place) and makes the flow of text feel choppy. You could probably merge them all into a singular one.
  • Contrary to what "despite a lack of mainstream media coverage" suggests, things don't need to be mentioned in such publications in order to chart. What actually makes a song enter charts is a combination of sales and streams (with radio airplay added in for the US and Canada).

More to follow later. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 00:54, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I'm not sure I carried out the changes properly but I've done some amendments according to your suggestions. ISD (talk) 13:09, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately, your use of "notable for a song which lacked mainstream media coverage" is inappropriate editorializing (see WP:Words to watch for more) and violates WP:NPOV. You can scrap this bit altogether, and same with the sequel not being covered in mainstream media. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 16:42, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've made some more changes. Is this better? ISD (talk) 18:04, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes it is :) SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:26, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

History edit

  • No reviews at all? While the original rendition might not have gotten much attention from mainstream publications, such an absence definitely caught my eye.
  • "In order to increase the chances of reaching the top spot" isn't supported by the attributed link (which only lists other versions), so you'll need an additional ref for that claim.
  • I recommend using a chart URL to back up how "Don't Stop Me Eatin'" was at number one in the UK for Christmas 2020 (what you've used only says Ladbaby topped the chart for Christmas in 2018 and 2019)
  • We've got a 404 error here, but you can use this for the Charlie Brooker bit
  • The use of "hit" from "the Top 10 hit" is subpar tone
  • You can probably guess what's wrong with "performance of the track was made even more notable"
  • Don't use italics for British Comedy Guide

Up next will be the "Boris Johnson Is Still a Fucking Cunt" section. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:18, 10 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not sure if all the changes I've done are correct, and I can only find one review of the song, but I've done some changes. I can't find reviews of "Boris Johnson Is Still a Fucking Cunt" ISD (talk) 07:52, 11 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
A singular review isn't enough to stand as its own section, so just merge "Reception" into the "History" one. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:40, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

"Boris Johnson Is Still a Fucking Cunt" edit

  • It looks like this supports a 28 November 2021 announcement, not the 26th
  • "who come from Kunt's hometown of Basildon" can be cut as irrelevant detail
  • I'm getting a 404 error for ref#19 ("Boris Johnson Is Still A Fucking Cunt For Christmas Number 1"), so you should archive that link or replace it with a new one
  • Let's mention the NME writer (Mark Beaumont) by name
  • Official Charts Company shouldn't have italics, and don't try to hide how "Company" is part of its name
  • No need for "Rivals LadBaby ended up selling twice as many downloads of their record than all of the versions put out by The Kunts, with LadBaby's final sales total of 136,445 also including CD copies of the single."
  • "shortest Top 10 hits"..... see my previous comments regarding "hit"

Apologies for the delay, but my following batch of comments will most likely be the last. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:40, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've carried out those changes now, including the the merger you mentioned in the pervious section. ISD (talk) 05:42, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Personnel edit

Charts edit

  • We've got a faulty URL that needs fixing for ref#37 (UK chart history). Why not just copy over what was used earlier in the article for that and the Indie chart?

See also edit

  • I'm not convinced this link is worth listing

References edit

  • "www.vice.com" should be Vice
  • Remove the italics for Chortle, Official Charts Company, British Comedy Guide, borisjohnson.info, "Beyond the Joke", and JoyZine

Overall edit

  • Prose: All good to go
  • Referencing: Needs some adjusting
  • Coverage: No mention of global charts within prose?
  • Neutrality: I don't see any bias
  • Stability: Seems A-OK
  • Media: Both images have appropriate FURs
  • Verdict: Starting now, I'll put the nomination on hold. You have seven days to address my remaining points. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 13:21, 25 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think I've sorted out all the issues. ISD (talk) 19:48, 25 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Just one problem (aside from keeping the questionable inclusion of "Liar Liar GE2017" under "See also"): the Billboard Global chart used actually excludes the United States (while tracking everywhere else), and you erroneously wrote it represented that country. It's separate from the worldwide Billboard Global 200 (covers all of Earth) and the US Billboard Hot 100. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:36, 25 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    I've sorted those out now. ISD (talk) 05:40, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
