Correct coordinate syntax edit

MB your edit may have unintentionally reverted more than intended. Can you explain what was wrong with the previous edit? Regards. EELagoon (talk) 06:07, 1 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

No, I intentionally went back to a stable version before the May 20 edit war that kept changing the location from Somaliland to Somalia, and left maintenance errors due to use of deprecated coordinate syntax. The article has said Somaliland for almost two years, the article is tagged as being "within the scope of WP:WikiProject Somaliland" and the article on Borama says that Borama is the capital of Somaliland. So it is obvious to me that I restored the correct version. If you wish to make politically motivated changes to this article, you will need to discuss and gain consensus first. That's nonsense. This article falls under the scope of Wikiproject Somalia and the 9 years previous before it was changed to Somaliland it said Somalia. The references cited in the article themselves say Somalia. EELagoon (talk) 07:31, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
FYI, here are the references. 12. Borama is also not the capital of Somaliland. EELagoon (talk) 07:33, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
The same [14.100.139.110 user] has been changing the Wikiproject banner from Somalia to Somaliland. Previous to that the article appeared under the scope of Wikiproject Somalia. EELagoon (talk) 07:42, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I did mis-type "Borama is the capital of Somaliland", I should have said "Borama is the capital and the largest city of the northwestern Awdal region of Somaliland". The point is still the same - if Borama is in Somaliland and Awal is in (or a region of} Somaliland, then so is Borama Airport. This article is not the place to dispute this. It is the perfect place to dispute it. Your point is negated by the references in the article. Somaliland itself is recognised internationally as part of Somalia. You also said that because the article was such for 2 years it's the correct version however I have shown you that the content was changed despite what the references said. The article is also part of Wikiproject Somalia, a user has been removing the tags without explanation. EELagoon (talk) 06:05, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
