I'm going to quick-fail this GA nomination because I believe that currently article is pretty far away from being considered a GA.

Here are the main reasons:

• Article severely lacks references. Consensus at the GAN talk page has been that the criteria mean that everything not completely self-explanatory would need a reference. There whole sections that doesn't have a single reference.
• Article's history section suffers from recentism (WP:RECENT) and it leads me to believe that article isn't broad enough. Last twenty years of existence have same amount of coverage as first hundred years.
• There are quite a few words that are linked twice, for example, Manchester United F.C. is linked multiple times in throughout article
• There are quite a few other small issues to deal with it, but I think you should start with these I've listed. I suggest you to read Wikipedia:Good article criteria and try to improve this article based on things GA reviewers generally expect from nominated articles and when you feel that article you have improved meets all the criteria, nominate article again.
