Primarch

edit

It should be noted that it is not technically true that the Templars have no Primarch. While as a Second Founding Chapter they have never had their Primarch fight as a Black Templar, they do still revere their original Primarch, Rogal Dorn of the Imperial Fists. He is their Primarch just as he is that of the Crimson Fists or even the Imperial Fists themselves- they all share the same gene-seed. A minor point, but one I felt was best made here rather than via a pirate edit as I don't know whether that's a general format issue. There are some Chapters who genuinely do not know who their Primarch was, or (in the case of the Cursed Founding) actually never had one, so it might be a useful distinction to make.

I would propose that instead of "None (Imperial Fists Second Founding)" they should have "Rogal Dorn (Imperial Fists Second Founding)" in the entry, as they do fully recognise Rogal Dorn as their Primarch.

I agree. The first Templars where originally Imperial Fists, and would have more likely than not have fought alongside Dorn, especially Sigismund (spelling!). - Darkson - BANG! 22:26, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I also agree. In something that I have read(i forget what) they recognize Sigismund, The primarch Rogal Dorn, and the Emperor. So they seem to recognize him as their true primarch as well.

Rip-offs

edit

Is it worth noting, that the Black Templars item, the Holy Orb of Antioch, is a cheap rip-off of Monty Python's Holy Hand Grenade (also of Antioch). Vanghar 10:18, 06 January 2006

The Holy Handgrenade was a parody of the Holy Spear of Antioch, so you cannot claim that they are not making a parody of the original, seeing as how its an orb that doesn't have a timer count down. There are many holy objects from Antioch, it was a Crusading goldmind, especially with the real Templar taking orbs and other objects from the city. SanchiTachi 00:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Their Battlecry

edit

Seems it is almost a direct quote from the movie 'The Terminator'..."It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear"The preceding unsigned comment was added by Justin Xiang (talk • contribs) .

It is possible, as Games Workshop created various bits throughout Warhammer 40,000 based on other movies etc... If a refernce could be found about it being inspired by the Terminator that would be great. -Localzuk (talk) 00:36, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

4.1 The Rising of the Brute

Anyone have a reference for this, as I've never heard of it? Darkson - BANG! 16:22, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

British English

edit

I have created a survey and a discussion. Please go to either to contribute. The previous discussion can be found here BT Discussion. They are no longer included here because of the movement of the debate/combination of the two separate issues.

I have made the bold move to edit out this page, to conform to believe that everyone here wants to help, that it is best to forgive and move on and avoid any of the kneejerk fighting that was happening. I want everyone to care about this and all the other Warhammer pages and I want everyone to want to try and expand them. We have many pages that still need to be expanded and everyone's contribution (excluding trolls) must be welcome. So I will apologize for upsetting any that I have, and I hope that everyone can join together to improve these pages. Thanks. SanchiTachi 23:01, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

No Librarians

edit

It says that the Black templar have no Librarians because of hate and distrust of the warp, but the games workshop says different. It says it's because the gene that creates psykers make them mutants, which they hate due to their fanaticism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.250.237.134 (talk) 01:17, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
