I have come across the following account and would like to check that despite the difference in direction of Jerusalem it does refer to this Biddu: The Scotsman April 21 1948: After a short battle, Jewish units this morning occupied two Arab villages, Beir Surik and Biddu, five miles north-west of Jerusalem. Most of the inhabitants had fled into the hills after being warned by the Jews through loudspeakers. The Jews demolished many of the houses with explosives and by bombing them with 6-inch mortars.Padres Hana (talk) 21:24, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
