Merge?
edit- Weak keep - if the page gets bigger, it will deserve its own page. — CuaHL 17:08, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
Neutral - I got mixed feelings on this one right now. I'll have to see how this argument goes before i decide. --ZeWrestler Talk 17:11, 25 July 2005 (UTC)- Merge. If the page does get bigger, it will deserve its own page. But whether or not it can get bigger is the more important question: at present we're dealing with what is essentially a single paragraph of summary, and that covers basically everything that this disc is in reasonable detail. Further expansion would very likely be pushing the notability envelope, and would likely come across as no more than fancruft. The whole thing should be rewritten as prose and merged into the Final Fantasy X article. I've offered a possible rewrite for such purposes in the comment section below. – Seancdaug 17:35, July 25, 2005 (UTC)
- Merge - Good point. Thats enough to sway me.--ZeWrestler Talk 17:47, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
- Merge - I think this is too closely related to Final Fantasy X to merit its own article. Unless there is a lot more information to be added about it, I think that the two should be merged. --Cswrye 01:03, July 26, 2005 (UTC)
- Hm... maybe not? I don't know wheter I can be objective because I started editing this page... but I may try. I wouldn't merge Beyond FF with FFX because, although it is close to FFX, it also is a separate product. Release of FFX was the main reason to create this document but FF creators talk not only about FFX but also about other parts of FF series (and very often they compare them with FFX). The other question is, won't the merging with FFX make BFF harder to find? FFX wikipedia page is already quite long and I'm afraid that Beyond FF will drown in this ocean of information (maybe it would be enough just to add a link to BFF on FFX page). And another question: can Beyond FF page get bigger? Yes, it can. I think, I (or someone else) could write about what the creators ideas and comments were... of course, if you think, it does make sense. And... hm, I was going to add Beyond FF Cd's foto here but now I don't wheter it makes sense -_-. --Joanna Kornas 18:31, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
- The thing is, it's not a seperate product: it's a bonus disc. Having a seperate article seems roughly akin to having a seperate article for the bonus discs that come with an almost uncountable number of DVDs. And the question isn't just "can it get bigger," but "should it get bigger." Obviously, we can pad out any number of articles, but at some point we need to decide what is relevant, useful information for an encyclopedia article. In any case, since the creators were commenting on Final Fantasy X, that information rightly belongs in the Final Fantasy X article to begin with, not here. – Seancdaug 02:27, July 27, 2005 (UTC)
- One final note: I can't really see how merging the articles would make this harder to find. This article would, after all, become a redirect to the main Final Fantasy X article, so anyone looking for BFF-specific information would find his or her way to the right place. Ultimately, this is a disc containing information about Final Fantasy X, packaged as part of Final Fantasy X, and specifically relevant to Final Fantasy X. It's definitely useful information, I just can't see how it deserves its own article when, say, the special edition DVD releases of the Lord of the Rings film trilogy certainly don't. – Seancdaug 02:33, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

- So what are we going to do now with this article?--ZeWrestler Talk 17:10, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
- Well, it looks like there was a majority in favor of merging (3 to 2), and it's been over a month since there were any substantial changes to the article, so I've gone ahead and merged it into the main Final Fantasy X article, using the rewrite below. Hope I didn't act too rashly here :-) – Seancdaug 08:07, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
