I added the early history from the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica. Two problems. The text implies Charles IV was 13th century; I assume this means the Holy Roman Emperor, who was alive in the 14th. If I'm right, the text should be corrected. Second, the history stops short in the 19th century, and it probably should include the German-Czech transitions.
