He just asked the kids to cry a little

I'm pretty sure I read, somewhere, Ezrin saying that ALL these stories are myths, and that he just ASKED his kids to pretend (you know . . . act) they were really upset, and to cry loud, etc. No other hypothesis about the crying on "The Kids" should be phrased as a definitive factual statement.

The music on the 8 track...

...is NOT a piano solo. I read this everywhere. I own it, and there are also clips of it around on the web. I added a bunch of info, but I'm not sure I wrote it well. Should "orchestral arrangements" and "horns" be referred to separately, or are horns part of an orchestra? Also, the paragraph I wrote about how many songs are rewrites of older material looks clumsy to me. Editing encouraged. --63.25.27.249 18:24, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

It's certainly not the case that he didn't play Berlin live. The concert that features on Rock'n'Roll Animal/Lou Reed Live includes as many tracks from Berlin as from most of his other albums. When I saw him in the late '70's - the band included Trumpeter Don Cherry - he played the whole of side 2. Playing whole chunks of albums was unusual at the time, apart from Tommy. I don't know if it's authoritative, but according to loureed.es/officialcd.htm, Berlin was remastered in 1989 and 1998, and the 2007 release was a reissue of the 1998 remaster. According to rollingstone.com/music/news/lou-reeds-final-look-back-inside-massive-new-box-set-w443676 and numerous other sources, Lou Reed himself remastered the album for the recent RCA & Arista Album Collection release.Rlauriston (talk) 19:35, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

Jack Bruce?

Did Jack Bruce really play bass on this? I've never heard that before. The Secretary of Funk 18:44, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

He's listed on the album credits (assumung it's the same Jack Bruce, which I'm guessing it is). It's not mentioned on Bruce's page, though.Freshacconci 21:10, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
