beit amr source edit

Am I reading this right that a google search result is being used as a reference? Tombah what exactly is the source for this, and please provide a translation per WP:NONENG for the material that directly supports what you placed in the article. nableezy - 15:13, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

What? definitely not. This is an article from Cathedra by Hanan Eshel, among other scholars. Tombah (talk) 15:27, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'll add a translation in a moment. Tombah (talk) 15:28, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
The link you gave was to a google search. But yes, please add a translation. As far as the other sources add later, I have serious doubts about publications from Ariel University and would think a less ideological institution would be able to support material on ancient history. nableezy - 15:49, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I believe a translation was already requested and promised. Please provide that per WP:NONENG. nableezy - 17:07, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Check the article. Tombah (talk) 17:41, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
OK, so the source isnt Cathedra? The source is a Ariel University Press paper? And why do you think it appropriate to attribute to scholars a single paper by three academics? And where does it reach the conclusion our article gives? nableezy - 18:53, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Absent a response I intend to remove the material from Judea and Samaria Research Studies. Well-regarded university presses is the standard, and Settler U does not have any cachet I can see. They have two journals even listed at resurchify.com with a tiny IF, and this journal isn't even listed. I dont find it at all at Clarivate, neither the journal or the press. This does not appear to be a usable source here. nableezy - 22:05, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ideological institution? that is ridiculous. You cannot condemn a entire university just because you don't like the fact it is located in the West Bank. What in the name of God do you know about the political views of the scholars there? Anyway, absolutely not your decision to make. Tombah (talk) 04:57, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Lol, you need to establish a source is reliable, it is not presumed to be so. I gave reasons for saying it is not, and you have not responded with anything resembling a reason why it is. I remind you of WP:ONUS, and if you would like to insert challenged material you need to establish a consensus for it. Since my concerns have not been addressed I am removing this once more. You may not force material into an article through edit-warring, and if you continue to do so you may be reported and potentially sanctioned. Im not playing this game with you anymore. nableezy - 05:00, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
And oh by the way, Ariel isnt even reliable for its location, as it claims it is located in Israel, a claim that not even Israel makes. nableezy - 05:01, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
