Untitled

This man was featured on NPR's All Things Considered program this morning. I don't have the time but there's a lot of info in their story that would be good in this article.

Kopbusters

A registered Wikipedia user (I am not one) should probably add a section about Barry's new reality TV show, Kopbusters. It's been generating a lot of attention lately and is definitely noteworthy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.188.161.98 (talk) 21:33, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Fantastic

Can't believe how petty the US justice system is. People are still arrested in the USA for cannabis possession while in much of the rest of the world this would just be a minor matter. How can this be in any way democratic when 45% of all Americans have used the drug in their lives yet nobody seems to legalise or, at least, decriminalise it. This man is a bloody hero.--78.155.49.242 (talk) 23:45, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

K-9

In the section "Lecturer, expert witness and case consultant" the term "K-9" is used. Watching the video "Never get busted again" the first time I wondered about the meaning of "K-9", a term used frequently there. After a couple of minutes I figured out of the context that the term he actually uses is "canine", and that interpreting it as "K-9" is maybe due to his pronunciation. I am not a native speaker and therefore not 100% sure. Could someone confirm this, please?--77.189.181.106 (talk) 00:43, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

K-9 denotes a police dog as opposed to any canine. Though they are generally interchangeable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.13.126.224 (talk) 10:01, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Bias

This reads like a press release, presenting a selective and glowing picture of the subject. E.g. It doesn't mention his own history as a crooked cop (as described in the not program). I'm flagging it with {{Pov}}. Chriswaterguy talk 01:07, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

Lead Section

The lead section of this article lacks neutral point-of-view, using phraseology like "world-famous drug expert" and "one of the nation's top drug enforcement police officers." None of the lead section conforms to Wikipedia's standards on neutral point of view; instead, it reads like his website's about page. –Anaglyphic (talk) 17:40, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

Not just the lead, several paragraphs are sourced from his own book Bijdenhandje (talk) 13:36, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Intend to change title to "Barry Cooper (political activist)"

I'd like to change the title of the article since lecturing isn't really what Cooper is known for. What he's more known for is being a political activist through activities such as running for office, exposing corrupt cops, and making media appearances to advocate for drug policy reform. So I think the term "political activist" fits better and will be making the change soon.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 02:22, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

My birthday is 5 21 69 not 4 21 69

Can someone please publish my correct birthday from March 21, 1969 to May 21, 1969?

And I'm no longer married to Candi. She was murdered by a close family friend. A Google search will prove this is true.

My new wife of six years is Giovanni Mia Madrid Cooper.

Also, the text states "according to his book, Barry...." I don't have a book yet so that's wrong.

Thanks to whomever makes these fixes. 136.158.17.33 (talk) 09:47, 25 May 2022 (UTC)

I made several of the requested changes. I'll make others if I can find reliable independent sources to support them. Sal2100 (talk) 20:49, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
