Oldest in Sofia edit

It was written that it is one of oldest in Europe. "It is one of the oldest mosques in Europe, having been completed in 1576"

There are mosques in Europe built in older centuries, such as:

  • Uzbeg Khan Mosque (Staryi Krym, Crimea) - Year completed 1314
  • Alhambra - Completed towards the end of Muslim rule in Spain by Yusuf I (1333-1353) and Muhammed V, Sultan of Granada (1353-1391). the Alhambra is made up of gardens, fountains, streams, a palace, and a mosque, all within an imposing fortress wall, flanked by 13 massive towers.
    • about 2 centuries difference
  • In Plovdiv Bulgaria - bg:Джумая джамия - estimated period 1369-1389
    • about 2 centuries difference
  • Old Mosque - Year completed: 1414
    • 160 years difference
  • Üç Şerefeli Mosque - Year complete: 1447
    • 130 years difference
