Alright, starting with Criteria.

Well-written edit

  • The prose is clear and uses terms that are common for a broad audience.
  • The "design" is perfect. And didn't detected something unneutral.

Now with the mistakes.

  • On "short description" which is just below "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" below the title... capitalize the "c".   Arman (Talk) 14:16, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Others edit

  • It is stable as it was modified last 5 days despite the ongoing talk on the talk page.
  • I didn't detected hateful or praise words, so it is neutral.
  • The page is illustrated with elements required such as the flag and coats of arm and many geographic elements.

Verifiability edit

  • It contains a list of references.
  • In terms of land mass, Bangladesh ranks 92nd, spanning 147,570 square kilometres (56,980 sq mi), making it one of the most densely-populated countries in the world., where is the reference of this claim?
For this claim the reference is in the main body (Demography section). The introduction section may skip references if the claim is discussed in detail in the body with proper references. This norm is followed in FA class articles as well. Arman (Talk) 14:25, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Royal Bengal tiger, which is the national animal., add the [14] reference from Royal Bengal tiger after the dot, as it needs to be a reference there even if you link the article.   Arman (Talk) 14:31, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Link [6] just links me to the main page of "2019 Revision of World Population Prospects"... am I supposed to press something here?
Reader is supposed to download the data; the link of the data set is given in Ref [7]. This is the standard source used in Wikipedia Country infobox template and as such consistent across countries.Arman (Talk) 13:50, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Who can help me with [13] link? As I'm not sure how I can possibly read it and review.
Are you referring to "Aging and Adult Development in the Developing World: Applying Western Theories and Concepts"? It is a book reference. The book needs to be collected to verify. Arman (Talk)
  • I need help with someone translating [3] for me. And [2] The Law book doesn't help me with the population of Bangladesh.
I can confirm for [3] that it says Ethnicity Distribution for Bangladesh is Bengali: 98%, Small ethnic groups: 2%; where it says:
"জাতিগোষ্ঠী: বাঙালি : ৯৮% ক্ষুদ্র নৃ গোষ্ঠী : ২%"
Ref [2] is regarding "Bengali" being the state language. Arman (Talk) 13:50, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Assistance needed with [16] and [17].
  • Its large Muslim population makes Bangladesh the fourth largest Muslim-majority country in the world., Let's add a reference here otherwise it sounds like original research.   Arman (Talk) 09:38, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • ...with one of the fastest real GDP growth rates in the world. Its gross domestic product is the 39th largest in terms of market exchange rates, and 29th in purchasing power parity. Bangladesh's per capita income ranks 143th nominally and 136th by purchasing power parity., we will need references here.
All of these data elements are sourced from the infobox on the right where they are referenced. These references should not be required to be repeated in the article lead. Arman (Talk) 09:43, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • [27], [28], Wikipedia isn't a reliable site, if you want to get a reference from there put them in the article.
Sorry, couldn't find any source from wikipedia; please be more specific. Arman (Talk) 09:49, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • [31], this book just won't be found for me, can someone help me confirm that the Austriac word "Bonga" means "Sun God"?
Please check this. I have also fixed the ISBN in the ref so that the book can be found easily. Arman (Talk) 10:10, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to tell you that I'm still a newbie at reviewing a GA, so please correct me if I'm wrong using good faith (BTW I hate criticism), I need to go now as reading caused my eyes to be tired and I can't review something if I feel like I meditated for 40 minutes straight. After I found all the errors and put the "onhold" then you resolved all the problems I'm going to ask for a second opinion as I might did something wrong. Early and medieval periods edit

Anyways let's resume. edit
  • Reference [38] provides no external link, fix this please.   Arman (Talk) 10:48, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Reference [40], please try to link the book
Was this in reference to " History of Bengal. B.R. Publishing Corp."? I have now provided the ISBN (which links to the book). Arman (Talk) 08:39, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I didn't found how Wari-Bateshwar is linked with Alexander the Great's invasion. Help.
I have updated the links to establish this link more clearly. "In fact even Alexander of Macedon, although he had subdued all Asia, refrained from making war upon the Gandaridae alone of all peoples..."(Here) and "Wari-Bateshwar could be a part of Gangaridae, which was described as a rich place of trade in the estuary of the river Ganges in Greek and Latin literature..." (Here) Arman (Talk) 09:09, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I can't read the book [49] somebody help me with this.
Are you referring to this? If not please mention the book name. Arman (Talk) 05:46, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • These states had well-developed currencies, banking, shipping, architecture and art, and the ancient universities of Bikrampur and Mainamati hosted scholars and students from other parts of Asia. Xuanzang of China was a noted scholar who resided at the Somapura Mahavihara (the largest monastery in ancient India), and Atisa travelled from Bengal to Tibet to preach Buddhism. The earliest form of the Bengali language began to the emerge during the eighth century. Need reference, reference and a reference in there.
  • The Islamic conquest of Bengal began with the 1204 invasion by Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khalji, Put a reference after that as a shortcut than going through the page.   Done RRRW (talk) 19:47, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Go reference [50], please link the page of the book.
  • Need help with [51].
  • [52] instead of referencing a Wikipedia article, reference the link that proves it.
  • [53], is literally another encyclopedia that everyone can log in and doesn't reference anything, how do we trust this link?
  • [54], again is an encyclopedia that you can log in and how does this prove it? We can't compare encyclopedias with other encyclopedias.
  • and shipbuilding,., the serial comma should be replaced with a punctuation if it's the end of the sentence don't put a comma there.
  • [61], try to give the page that also says about the living condition that you can search with CTRL+F, by the way.
  • [63], [64], [68], [69] (nIcE), can you please link external links to those?
  • [71], please link the page.
  • [73], try to sort this link out as viewers shouldn't think that someone was paid to spread misinformation or a site to praise themselves.
  • [75] [76], is again an encyclopedia which isn't reliable.
  • [79], Google books can't identify this book. Editoneer (talk) 17:21, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Colonial Periods edit
  • I can't access the book [80], somebody help me out.
  • Can you please tell me at what page is [83]? Seeing [84] I suggest just delete the [83] reference.
  • I can't break [85] with Sci-Hub, what can I do?
  • and pledged allegiance to the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, who was later exiled to neighbouring Burma., throw a reference in there "how 'bout deh?"?
  • The challenge posed to company rule by the failed Indian Mutiny led to the creation of the British Indian Empire as a crown colony. The British established several schools, colleges and a university in what is now Bangladesh. the reference [87] doesn't provide information about this.
  • [88], I can't read the book and the Wikipedia link isn't reliable.
  • During the late 19th century, novelists, social reformers and feminists emerged from Muslim Bengali society. Electricity and municipal water systems were introduced in the 1890s; cinemas opened in many towns during the early 20th century. East Bengal's plantation economy was important to the British Empire, particularly its jute and tea. The British established tax-free river ports, such as the Port of Narayanganj, and large seaports like the Port of Chittagong. reference, reference, reference is where?
  • [90], encyclopedias aren't reliable, source a reliable site instead.
  • [92], encyclopedias aren't reliable.
  • However, the first partition of Bengal created an uproar in Calcutta and the Indian National Congress. In response to growing Hindu nationalism, the All India Muslim League was formed in Dhaka during the 1906 All India Muhammadan Educational Conference. The British government reorganised the provinces in 1912, reuniting East and West Bengal and making Assam a second province...The Raj was slow to allow self-rule in the colonial subcontinent. It established the Bengal Legislative Council in 1862, and the council's native Bengali representation increased during the early 20th century. The Bengal Provincial Muslim League was formed in 1913 to advocate civil rights for Bengali Muslims within a constitutional framework. During the 1920s, the league was divided into factions supporting the Khilafat movement and favouring co-operation with the British to achieve self-rule. R e f e r e n c e s .
  • In 1929, the All Bengal Tenants Association was formed in the Bengal Legislative Council to counter the influence of the Hindu landed gentry, and the Indian Independence and Pakistan Movements strengthened during the early 20th century. After the Morley-Minto Reforms and the diarchy era in the legislatures of British India, the British government promised limited provincial autonomy in 1935. The Bengal Legislative Assembly, British India's largest legislature, was established in 1937. R E F E R E N C E S.
  • Although it won a majority of seats in 1937, the Bengal Congress boycotted the legislature. A. K. Fazlul Huq of the Krishak Praja Party was elected as the first Prime Minister of Bengal. In 1940 Huq supported the Lahore Resolution, which envisaged independent states in the northwestern and eastern Muslim-majority regions of the subcontinent. The first Huq ministry, a coalition with the Bengal Provincial Muslim League, lasted until 1941; it was followed by a Huq coalition with the Hindu Mahasabha which lasted until 1943., again we need references.
  • Huq was succeeded by Khawaja Nazimuddin, who grappled with the effects of the Burma Campaign, the Bengal famine of 1943, which killed up to 3 million people, [94] only says that the famine caused 3 million deaths. Nothing about Khawaja or the Burma Campaign.
  • In 1946, the Bengal Provincial Muslim League won the provincial election, taking 113 of the 250-seat assembly (the largest Muslim League mandate in British India). H. S. Suhrawardy, who made a final futile effort for a United Bengal in 1946, was the last premier of Bengal., reference required here.
Partition of Bengal edit
  • On 20 June, the Bengal Legislative Assembly met to decide on the partition of Bengal., reference here.
  • At the preliminary joint meeting, it was decided (120 votes to 90) that if the province remained united it should join the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan. reference here.
  • At a separate meeting of legislators from West Bengal, it was decided (58 votes to 21) that the province should be partitioned and West Bengal should join the Constituent Assembly of India. reference here...
  • On 6 July, the Sylhet region of Assam voted in a referendum to join East Bengal. Cyril Radcliffe was tasked with drawing the borders of Pakistan and India, and the Radcliffe Line established the borders of present-day Bangladesh., add a reference here.

To be continued, again... Editoneer (talk) 16:35, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I apologize, I need to put the article in second opinion as I can't help but strain my eyes reading this article (not that the article is the problem or anything). Editoneer (talk) 07:47, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Editoneer: Is there anything in particular you want advice on? AIRcorn (talk) 04:15, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Aircorn: For you to take over... thanks. Editoneer (talk) 06:15, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I can do it, but with an article this size I need to know that Armanaziz is still willing to respond. They haven't replied to the last few points yet. You don't have to agree with them, a simple "I don't think this is necessary" will do. I just need to know there is someone willing to engage in the process. AIRcorn (talk) 19:29, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I am very much willing to work on any development suggestion, but my response timing may be a bit slow. I'll try to address the remaining items above and buzz you when I have completed. Thanks to both of you for your involvement. Arman (Talk) 05:38, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Great. Either ping me here or leave a message on my talk page. AIRcorn (talk) 21:14, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Status query edit

Armanaziz, it has been 30 days since your last post and you haven't edited on Wikipedia at all since then; where does this stand, and how soon can you return to it? GA nominations can't stay open indefinitely—regular progress needs to be made. Indeed, Aircorn wanted to be assured that you would respond, and though you did make that assurance, it's looking a little threadbare at the moment. I'll leave it to Aircorn to decide how to proceed; the review has already been open for about two and a half months, and it could be closed soon. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:08, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I cannot commit any timeframe. Arman (Talk) 14:48, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
I will close this for now and then when you can commit some time you can renominate. Ping me if you want and if I have time I will look at it. From a cursory glance there is some more referencing needed and a lot of trimming to do (it sits at 111kb of prose). AIRcorn (talk) 07:27, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
