There is also a village in INDIA by name BALAWAT. It is in Karnataka state, Bijapur District , Muddebihal taluk. Balawat village is abour 20 kilometers towords north east of Muddebihal.
BALAWAT is also family name in BASARKOD village in MUddebihal Taluk. Now some family members of Balawat live in BANGALORE,INIDA as well as in NEWJERSEY state in USA .VISHAAN BALAWAT is a USA citizen. Nice section! I would include some more pictures, particularly detail pictures of the specific sections of the gate you describe. Are there any reconstructions of the bronze panels installed?
