Caveat edit
I removed the caveat about this page containing unverifiable information. The Three-Eleven was a balloon of a project, floated in case the A300 failed, and never did contain much more than hot air, even in mock up form! The politics surrounding it, though muted, were most revealing and essentially comprise the entirety of the project, there never having been much hardware at all.
