are the transfer rate numbers in the info box right, or the one in the article? Both seem amazingly low for a cable only 12 years old (only a few percent of other contemporaneous cables), and this just just optical bundles, the bulk of the cost is incurred in laying the cable regardless of how many 2.7" strands you drop.
