Studium Generale edit

I changed this sentence:

Although Astronomy has been taught at the Studium Generale in University of Cambridge since medieval times...

According to its article, Studium Generale is just a honor given to certain excellent universities. Presumably the sentence is just meant to mean "has been taught at that institution in Cambridge..." and calling it by that title seems rather out of place (in fact it doesn't even appear to be a title, but a kind of grade). If I've missed something, please let me know on this talk page if you revert the change. Quietbritishjim (talk) 16:45, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Studium Generale" is the medieval term with meaning that roughly corresponds to a modern research university, with at least 2 faculties of advanced study. I agree that the medieval term is irrelevant in this context. Bluap (talk) 19:17, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
