Climate

I corected the assurde statement of that temperature can easily reach 50C for long period of time. In fact, Ashkhabad NEVER recorded nor approached 50C (absolute record 46.7C). 50C was only recorded at Repetek Reserve in July 1983, not at Askhabad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.10.36.217 (talk) 15:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

It is one of the driest deserts in the world, I found one place that says 48.9C for Ashkhabad and that Kerki one extreme inland city location on the banks of The Amu Darya River recorded 51.7C. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.89.135.59 (talk) 23:05, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Flag

I was looking at the flag wiki, and saw that ashgabat has a new logo, created in 2016. I was wondering if it is official, as flag wiki isn't very reliable. 71.120.197.222 (talk) 21:24, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
