My name is Asri Aldila Putri and I am the Stakeholder Relations at Asia Pulp & Paper. I understand and adhere to Wikipedia’s editing policies and therefore, would like to propose the following to the community for review.

The following claims Arthur Andersen was involved in fraudulent accounting and auditing of several companies, including Asia Pulp & Paper, but there is no source provided.

“Arthur Andersen has been alleged to have been involved in the fraudulent accounting and auditing of Sunbeam Products, Waste Management, Inc, Asia Pulp & Paper, and the Baptist Foundation of Arizona, WorldCom, as well as the infamous Enron case, among others.”

A valid source is needed to substantiate the claim or the entry should be removed. Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aldila Putri (talkcontribs) 11:24, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Here you go: APP and Arthur Andersen Face Class-Action Lawsuits (WSJ, 2001) (http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB998243223377564102). See also In re Asia Pulp & Paper Securities Litigation, United States District Court, S.D. New York.

Key extracts: " Asia Pulp & Paper Co. , its directors and auditor are facing class-action complaints in the U.S. for allegedly issuing misleading information that in turn inflated APP's share price."; "The class-action complaint filed by attorneys for APP shareholder James Harris against APP, its directors and Arthur Andersen alleges that the defendants "knew or recklessly disregarded, that the company's financial statements did not reflect two derivative hedge contracts with Deutsche Bank," and that as a result, "the financial statements for 1997 through 1999 were false and materially misleading."

To ally your doubts, I've taken the liberty of adding the appropriate references to the entry. Try using google once in a while, it helps. Oh, and stop destroying the rainforests please! AlphaBet678 (talk) 07:16, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
