The article has

Wing area: 1,886 sq ft (175.2 m2)

Taking the span as 90 feet, this implies a chord of over 20 feet from tip to tip.

The NACA drawing suggests that this is not the correct value.

(The article in Flight in 1932 gives 1285 - altogether more believable).

The source quoted (Tapper) also says 1285 sqft - 1885 sq ft is for the Argosy - I must have made a mistake when I switched templates. Now changed.Nigel Ish (talk) 22:40, 22 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
