Mudface

There's always an impatient need by fans to start an article for every new album months before any information is available and valid sources can be gathered. There's even been a few articles on albums with little status other than as rumors. Is it so hard to wait until a month or so before the album is released, when proper sourcing can be put together? I agree with what you are saying about waiting for more info. But 75% of upcoming album on wikipedia appear to have their own pages with very little info. Example, Eminem is a famous rapper. He has No info what so ever except a rumored album title, but the album still manages to have its on web page. 50 cent's upcoming album Before i self destruct doesn't have any info except that it was pushed back and the title. I can continue to give you more albums with very little info. But im sure you get my point. ABK's upcoming album Mudface does have very little info, but i believe that we have enough info to create its own page. Artist: Anybody Killa, Produced by: DJ clay & Mike E. Clark, Mike Puwal, Release date: Fouth Quarter of 2008, Genre: Horrorcore, Gangsta Rap, Midwest hip hop, Label: Psychopathic records / Native World Inc. And a basic explaination for the album as well. In my opinion, the info that i just gave out is enough for this album to have it's own page.(UnrealSpiritX 09:45, 15 August 2008 (UTC))

  • It hasn't even been recorded yet. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 23:28, 25 August 2008 (UTC))

Please explain why the album page was taken off wikipedia when the album is being released in 3 weeks. --Apawk (talk) 20:12, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Someone redirected it here, but I undid that. You might want to add reliable sources to prevent that from happening again. --Pwnage8 (talk) 12:31, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
  • As of yet, we only have sources stating that the album exists. We don't have a track listing, and there's no coverage outside of the record label's official website. The album article was redirected here in order to avoid being tagged and deleted by an editor unfamiliar with the artist and label. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 22:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC))
  • HERE ARE SOME SOURCES OF THE ALBUM OUTSIDE THE LABELS WEBSITE. [1] [2] [3] Ibaranoof24 Do NOT Redirect a page unless there truely is no sources for it. If you can't look for the sources yourself, get off wikipedia.Apawk (talk) 17:45, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
    • All I'm saying is that there needs to be a little more info for there to be an article on an album. When a track listing is released, the article can be created. What's the problem with waiting? Please calm down and remain civil while discussing editing issues. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 22:00, 6 November 2008 (UTC))
  • Let me point out something. There is no track listing for Eminem's new album Relapse. There is no track listing for 50 Cent's new album Before I Self Destruct. There is no Track Listing for many Albums out there. What makes this one any different. it will be released in 3 weeks. Just because a TRACK LISTING hasn't appeared doesn't mean its not gonna happen. One of those sources i sent you was a Album sampler if you view it, you can get an idea of Some comfirmed tracks on it such as "I'm so muddy" and "Can't Wait". I can put up a comfirmed tracks sections but not a full track listing.Apawk (talk) 03:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Confirmed by who? How do you know that those are the final titles for those songs? Information is changed and updated all of the time. I am simply suggesting waiting for all of the information to be available. And the difference here is that Psychopathic Records is an independent label relying on fan promotion rather than attempting to widely advertise and appeal to mass audiences. Thus, more information is available on upcoming albums by mainstream artists on major labels. If you look at the articles for those albums you cite, you'll notice that both have good, Start Class-length articles. Because these are major label artists, more information is being released on their albums. And please, don't leave angry messages on my talk page. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 04:02, 7 November 2008 (UTC))
  • You keep changing the subjest every time. First you wanted Outside sources which i gave to you. Then you wanted a track listing which i gave a decent explaination for. Now your saying there has to be more info. I can name several rappers and links with very little info. less then what the Mudface page had but they still appeared. Why do you keep changing the requirements? do you just not like this artist? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apawk (talkcontribs) 12:59, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
    • I haven't been "changing the requirements". I've been saying the same thing since I first commented on this: wait until the album is released, when there is enough info. By the way, if I made changes to articles based on my dislike of an artist, I would have redirected the Eminem and 50 Cent articles. But I didn't, because those have enough info to have articles before the albums are released. This one doesn't. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 00:37, 8 November 2008 (UTC))

Third party sources?

Has this musician been documented by reliable and independent third party publications? As of right now the entire article is self-sourced through the artist's own website. I'm under the impression that this person may not meet WP:MUSIC guidelines. JBsupreme (talk) 06:51, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Anybody Killa has released two albums and one EP that have appeared on the Billboard charts, and is signed to a notable record label (Psychopathic Records). He is notable enough to meet the guidelines. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 23:47, 25 August 2008 (UTC))

www.psychopathicrecords.com you will find his name under the list of artists. Also his myspace explains it. Do further research on Insaneclownposse.com and there you will find his name with a basic explaination. UnrealSpiritX 09:55, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
