Agreed. I think there should be something about the status of the case and why, if possible. Occasionally, the perp will pop up in conversation and everyone wonders/hopes that this awful experience comes to a successful conclusion. - I looked into this about two months ago and found nothing. No arrest, no evidence that a serious investigation or manhunt had ever occurred, nothing.
