---|---|---|
1. Well-written: | ||
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. | See prose section below. IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
No issues. IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. | Just based on first glance the lead could definitely be longer. Based on the size of the rest of the article one good sized paragraph should be good. IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
2. Verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check: | ||
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). | I only checked the online sources but they all passed so I don't feel it's needed to check the book. IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
2c. it contains no original research. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
3. Broad in its coverage: | ||
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. | See broadness section below. IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style). | IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio: | ||
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. | IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) | |
7. Overall assessment. | @TheBritinator: I'm putting this on hold until you can either expand the lead a bit (I understand the article itself is short so there isn't much to work with) or give me a reason why it is sufficient at the current length. I've never reviewed an article this short so I'm letting you make the final decision as to if the lead can be expanded. Otherwise great work. Thank you for responding to my feedback and explaining things to me! IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC) |
- Just to confirm, are there no free images available? I just wanted to double-check that you looked and this isn't just an oversight. IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- There's this one but I do not know when it is from. I'm like 98% sure it is PD-Liechtenstein-Unknown, however if it from after 1954 then it wouldn't be. I just decided not to risk an albeit very small chance of a copyright violation. I could upload it anyway if there is a reasonable good faith argument for it. TheBritinator (talk) 08:12, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- It's up to you I just wanted to make sure that you went through the steps of trying to find an image. IntentionallyDense (talk) 15:00, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah I think I will TheBritinator (talk) 20:00, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

- I'm not convinced it needs to be any bigger. Most of his thing is that he served in the Landtag for a bit and was controversial, I think I'll ask externally and see. TheBritinator (talk) 22:16, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I wasn't really sure about this one just because there isn't much to go off of. IntentionallyDense (talk) 22:28, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
Prose
edit- Vogt was born on 11 August 1880 in Balzers as the son of his father "as the son of his father" is odd wording. Is there a reason you chose this wording? Could it maybe be changed? IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- I chose that wording as he and his father share the same name. Won't disagree that it is a bit odd, but is grammatically correct. Would you have any suggestions for alternative wording? TheBritinator (talk) 08:09, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- I see that makes sense. I was more looking for your reasoning behind the wording as it is odd. I have can't think of a way to re-word this off the top of my head but I'll get back to you if I do. IntentionallyDense (talk) 15:01, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

- Vogt led the founding event of the Liechtenstein Worker's Association, and was it's first vice president from 1920 to 1924, then it's president from 1924 to 1926. Consider changing "it's" to "the associations". In my opinion, this sounds better but it's up to you. IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- From 1922 to 1926 he was a member of the Liechtenstein criminal court and from 1924 to 1927 he was a member of the Balzers municipal council. would sound better as From 1922 to 1926 he was a member of the Liechtenstein criminal court and a member of the Balzers municipal council from 1924 to 1927. but let me know what you think. Broadness
edit- he was a member of the Landtag of Liechtenstein Is it possible to add some information on what this group is and what it is that they do to add some context? IntentionallyDense (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- That is far from necessary, such information can be gained from the main article it links to. TheBritinator (talk) 08:21, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- I was more so looking if there was any information on what he did while he was a member of the group as that I think would be relevant. IntentionallyDense (talk) 15:04, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- I see. The archive doesn't really have anything, keep in mind he wasn't a member for that long. TheBritinator (talk) 17:28, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Makes sense I just wanted to make sure there wasn't info missing. IntentionallyDense (talk) 21:46, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Is that all? TheBritinator (talk) 22:11, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
