Episode 1 and Episode 2 (Casting)

edit

The Casting for ANTM Cycle 20 is known as two separate episodes by many sites and The CW, not one episode. I think that both should have their own section under summaries titled

"2.1 Meet the Guys & Girls of Cycle 20 Part 1

2.2 Meet the Guys & Girls of Cycle 20 Part 2"

The Call-Out for Casting happened in Episode 2, so the call-out order for ANTM Cycle 20 should start with "2" instead of "1". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Italiaguy246 (talkcontribs) 01:49, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am gonna copy paste the talk about the points being detailed.

Scoring chart

edit

This is overcolored to the max, we need to remove a lot of the colours suggest limiting it to just the winner each week and not using red and green text. Mtking (edits) 08:29, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

What about the ranking system? Why? Is there a problem? Synthesis? If I have an idea, I will remove the rank immediately. ApprenticeFan work 09:35, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
The issue with the rank here and at the old elimination list is that absent a source is appears to be wp editors original work. Mtking (edits) 09:49, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Given the 'comeback' situation, the ranks should be removed. I strongly support the use of different colored numbers however, but the 'best judges/fan/challenge score' colors could be dropped. Trafalk09 (talk) 21:58, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blue numbers indicates the challenge score for each week.
Green numbers indicates the judges score for each week.
Red numbers indicates the public vote score for each week.
Indicates the model eliminated that week.
Indicates the model with the highest score that week.
Issue with use of Green and Red numbers is that WP:COLOUR says we should not use colour as the only way to code information. Mtking (edits) 08:49, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
I made a suggestion about this weeks ago which you'll find above on this talk page.136.8.33.71 (talk) 11:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
I agree with MtKing. The place section has to go. A girl is returning therefore all the ranks will be changed. It is unfair. The new table is good. Doesn't burn my eyes. The table is for the scores and readers can easily identify which girl got the highest individual score every week. -- I'm Titanium  chat 15:49, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
This is another simpler suggestion (only taking up weekly totals). Easier on the eyes, and it also takes up a lot less room. Trafalk09 (talk) 02:33, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I don't hate it. But i favor the previous one just cause it mentioned all the individual scores. Don't you think those scores should be added in the table? -- I'm Titanium  chat 06:30, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
the use of sliver to indicate who eliminated is redundant as it is shown in the call out table other than that a vast improvement, any more comments ? Mtking (edits) 01:38, 27 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
The new table as of the latest elimination. I think the silver helps in the case of the contestant that was eliminated and later came back. Comments?

No objection to this format, take Trafalk09's point about the silver. Someone should feel free to insert. Mtking (edits) 07:28, 27 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
My only issue with these new tables is the colors used. I personally believe   tomato should be used for the eliminated girl's score to remain consistent with the colors in the call-out table. Why does it make sense to have two different colors signify the same meaning within the same article? Also, the light reddish color used for the highest score seems ironic given that red historically denotes negativity/danger. That said, these tables are a much needed improvement over the messy-looking ones in use before, although I did like someone's previous suggestion of merely separating judge/social media/challenge scores into their own cells to prevent overlap in colors. MarkMc1990 (talk) 19:34, 27 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

This new scoring chart sucks....always changing something that doesn't need changing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.129.80.67 (talk) 23:23, 27 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I strongly suggest reverting the changes back to the original scoring chart, minus the overuse of colours. The new chart is redundant because whoever scores the highest score is simply the one who was called first in every episode, which can be inferred using the other chart. The new table takes away the information of who had the highest social media, judges and challenge score per week, which is a better, more detailed chart. ZephyrWind (talk) 09:17, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is quite clear if you read the comment everyone want the detail chart except for Trafatalk and Mtking, everyone else wanted the detailed scoring. Dencod16 (talk) 14:34, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia policy on biographical information about living persons

edit

Once again, Wikipedia editors of reality-show articles need to be reminded of the POLICY WP:BLP. We cannot make claims about people's supposed last names with reliable-source citation. One genius already got Don Walls' name wrong as "Don Benjamin". Wikipedia has learned through some well-known instances — look 'em up — that hoaxes and misinformation about living people severely damage this encyclopedia's credibility. --Tenebrae (talk) 16:38, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Care also has to be taken not to cite sources that have obviously taken their information off Wikipedia; such circular sourcing isn't allowed, for good reason. And in this case its easy to tell since such sources will be using the erroneous name "Don Benjamin" instead of "Don Walls." --Tenebrae (talk) 17:13, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protection for antm20

edit

Hey guys,

There has been a lot of vandalism, unnecessary edits, wrong informations... on this page, especially on the call-out order. I think this page really needs a semi-protection.

Matze-bepy123 (talk) 18:32, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

You're absolutely right, and I've already put in a request. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:06, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Why isn't this page protected anymore? Smh...71.239.172.110 (talk) 15:09, 1 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm asking the same question, who removed the semi-protection?? 88.64.244.68 (talk) 16:06, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cory's elimination in the call-out table

edit

I'm wondering if the maroon shading is necessary, seeing as panel WAS technically held, it just wasn't filmed on the regular panel set. I don't think we have to be so literal about what "outside of" panel means in cases like this. I feel that is more reserved for cases like Magdalena in Cycle 3 or Hannah in Cycle 11 where they are eliminated after a challenge without a call-out order (as well as people quitting). MarkMc1990 (talk) 02:14, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alex/Alexandra

edit

Alexandra was pretty much always referred to Alexandra and not Alex. I'm watching the episode right now and almost everything says Alexandra and not Alex. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 18:15, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

If a contestant has a nickname they go by, we tend to use the nickname. Linguist Moi? Moi. 18:24, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
But why not go by the contestants actual first name and not just a nickname. That's dumb to put a contestant on a table by their nickname and not their actual name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 18:45, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
She went by her nickname on the show; therefore, I see no reason not to include it. Linguist Moi? Moi. 19:10, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't really think it matters which way her name is written, but for the record, 'Alex Agro' yields a higher number of results on google. Though in most of that content she's referred to by her full name. Trafalk09 (talk) 04:26, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
