These early Alpa Reflexes are very well documented by Lothar Thewes who gained full access to the factory files and made a thorough research. He has owned a number of the cameras from Basel. His book is very well documented, researched just in time before the factory declined and everything disappeared. Jan von Erpecom 00:40, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Response to unsigned comment: Just looking at the introduction at the ALPA entry justifies a special page: "Alpa was formerly a Swiss camera design company". That article begins where the story about Pignons S.A. ends. However, a separate article on significant subjects, in this case the world's third SLR camera does not preclude other articles on a wider scope like the one referred to. Short, concise articles on special subjects are the forte of the Wikipedia. Long, all-embracing articles tend to put off the reader. Further, articles such as this one are highly specialised, based on in depth studies while at the same time condensed to help convey its content. For the especially interested reader a link is provided at the ALPA page. Whichever article came first is irrelevant. With respect, Jan von Erpecom 21:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
