I found only few issues:

• Referencing; His Bayern number assignment and nine yellow cards needs a reference each. "Bordeaux also recorded its second ever double, as a result of its league cup title" needs a cite too.

• Article could do with a bit more info on his personal life. Is he married/have kids? Education, current residency etc.
