Will aim to get to this in the next few days... Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 05:32, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Toolbox check -- no dab or EL issues.

Prose/coverage -- performed my usual copyedit so pls check all okay; just a couple of queries:

  • "adultery as the cause" of his divorce -- I don't suppose we know which of the pair was the alleged culprit?!
  • "Second Naval Member and made Chief of Personnel" -- I've got a feeling, based on my own RAN bios, that the two roles went together, like First Naval Member and CNS, which would make the "made" redundant; can you check?

Structure / referencing / supporting materials -- all look good, including image licensing.

Summary -- ready to pass, really just need a response re. Second Naval Member before we wrap up. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 03:10, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Many thank for the review and copyedit, Ian. To be honest, I was hoping you'd volunteer to review the article and perform the usual copyedit! No problems with what you have done there. As for the divorce, unfortunately the news article only mentions the reason and absolutely no details on what occurred. You are correct on Second Naval Member/Chief of Personnel. I cannot quite remember why I separated the two like that, but have now removed "made". Thanks again, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 03:37, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oh, yes. I do have one quick question for you, Ian: what do you think my chances are of getting away with using this image? It's PD in Australia, but I will no doubt get hassled as it may not be PD in the US due to being made in 1952. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 03:40, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I would say damn the torpedoes and put it straight on Commons with, in addition to the PD-Australia template, the Australian Government one à la File:JK0744ECWackett1953.jpg. This whole thing has just been hashed out and re-affirmed again at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2013 April 15 -- see the Vampire and 3RAR discussions -- but it appears simplest to short-circuit by just putting them on Commons. Will do. Many thanks, Ian. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 09:38, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
