The Victoria Dam

The Victoria Dam is a large hydroelectric dam located in Sri Lanka, across the Mahaweli River in the central part of the country. It is one of the largest dams in Sri Lanka and was constructed in the 1980s as part of the Mahaweli Development Program, which aimed to provide irrigation and hydroelectric power to the region.
