Proposed merger of History of Internet browser advertising filter systems into Ad blocking

The entire History of Internet browser advertising filter systems article is supported by just one self-published source, a series of blog posts by AdGuard. Meanwhile, the Ad blocking article has no "History" section. The usable content from History of Internet browser advertising filter systems should be supported by independent reliable sources, and then merged into a new and much shorter "History" section in the Ad blocking article. — Newslinger talk 00:55, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

That sounds like a good idea. In fact, you probably could have just done that without opening a discussion. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:11, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
Great, I'll start merging in this content. — Newslinger talk 22:40, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
After further review, I can't validate most of the claims in History of Internet browser advertising filter systems with reliable sources, and I'm unable to merge the article. Since the entirety of that article is based on a self-published source, I'm going to nominate it for deletion. — Newslinger talk 07:51, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

benefits but no drawbacks

In the interests of balance and impartiality should there not also be a drawbacks section?
