Interesting article, I had no idea the times were so turbulent and reigns so short. I have a few comments:

  • The family first appears in the sources in 927/8
  • tax-farmers→ tax farmers, as it is not being used as a compound adjective here
  • comma after Mardavij
  • suggest "He amassed a huge fortune by deferring the dispatch of tax revenues"
  • "and was positioning himself also as an independent warlord"
  • full stop after "ensconced in Wasit"
  • to campaign defend Wasit?
  • suggest "On 21 April 941, he was killed by Kurdish brigands during a hunt."
  • "from where Abu Abdallah demanded money"
  • "at theseis news"
  • "and his son Abu'l-Qasim, Abu Abdallah al-Baridi" I reckon you can stick to just Abu Abdallah at this point
  • throughout, shouldn't it be Baridi's rather than Baridis' when using the possessive? given their name is al-Baridi not al-Baridis?
  • suggest "burned Abu'l-Husayn's residence" is that is who is meant
  • "on the western side cut the bridge"?
  • "as the army of a resurgent Ibn Ra'iq entered Baghdad with his army"
  • "where Caliph al-Muttaqi" as we already know he's the caliph
  • move the mention that Tuzun was a Turk to first mention
  • "Abu Abdallah hasd his youngest brother"
  • suggest "ruled Basra in "exemplary way" (Bowen) until 947,[insert Bowen citation here]"
  • OCLC 557740738 for Amedroz and Margoliouth

That's all I could find. Placing on hold for the above to be addressed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 22:39, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Seeing that Cplakidas hasn't edited in over a month, I got through all the comments you made throughout the article and I think its ready for GA promotion. DepressedPer (talk) 07:43, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Well done for clocking that and stepping in, DepressedPer. This article is well-written, verifiable using reliable sources, covers the subject well, is neutral and stable, contains no plagiarism, and is illustrated by acceptably licensed images with appropriate captions. Thanks to both of you, Peacemaker67 and DepressedPer, for getting this through in my absence. Very much appreciated. Constantine 17:47, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
