Flu or coronavirus disease? edit

Although the symptoms that Hippocrates describes here definitely are consistent with we know to be influenza symptoms, some of them, especially the difficulty coughing up sputum and the small balls of it that did come up when attempted as opposed to the large wads of it that come up in flu patients, are eerily COVID-19-like.

Hippocrates also mentions mild skin rashes — again, something not seen with the flu but definitely seen with COVID-19 as hive-like. He also mentions the gender selectivity of the associated disease with higher rates of serious infection in men than women — again, something not seen with the flu but definitely seen with COVID-19 and this gender selectivity is particularly significant because it’s also related to the ACE2 receptor which has a high testicular presence. Has anyone analyzed the molecular clock of HCoV-NL63? Because if it turns out to be from this time period, it would definitely explain what caused this seeing as though NL63 is the only human coronavirus to have ever used ACE2 as a vector prior to the arrival of the Sarbecovirus subfamily. 68.4.228.73 (talk) 15:19, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
