@Graeme Bartlett: @Reba16: @Aethyta: Clearly there is some disagreement about the appropriate name for this page.

"Depropionylfentanyl"... I can only assume this is a spelling mistake. It is far from the WP:COMMONNAME, it barely even features on google. Despropionyl fentanyl is easier for laypeople to parse, but it is not the common name, as much as I would like it to be. There is a 100x difference in the number of hits for this, versus "4-ANPP". 4-ANPP or simply ANPP is by far the most commonly used term by forensic science professionals.

Therefore I would propose if the abbreviation and full name cannot both be included in the title then the article name should be 4-ANPP. I did not use this when I created the article because I felt it would be less clear. Testem (talk) 10:34, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

We don't try to combine names together in a title, eg no [name + (abbreviation)]. ANPP is already a disambiguation page so you cannot take over that one. 4-ANPP looks to be most common, Despropionyl fentanyl is about 100x more common than the current title, and about the same as what I renamed to. So I agree that Depropionylfentanyl is the least desirable name to use. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:13, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure what made me think that depropionylfentanyl was the most common name and if I had noticed that the page had already been previously renamed, I wouldn't have renamed it again. Sorry the confusion I caused. I have no objection to either "despropionyl fentanyl" or "4-ANPP". Reba16 (talk) 20:26, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have renamed it to 4-ANPP, and created redirects for other names. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:16, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Excellent, thanks all Testem (talk) 22:53, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
