Removal of citations for life peerages
editIs there any reason why, when a peerage is conferred, we remove the citation from the individual (by which I mean, for example, 'Lately Member of Parliament for xyz', rather than the reference?
I propose we have both, in the format:
- The Rt Hon Dame Rosie Winterton DBE – Lately Member of Parliament for Doncaster Central and former Deputy Speaker in the House of Commons; to be Baroness Winterton of Doncaster, of Doncaster in the County of South Yorkshire – 13 August 2024
I don't think that's too much information, and it provides useful context as to the people receiving peerages (which is how we do it for every other honour, in this article and similar.)
Please let me know your thoughts - I won't change until there's consensus. OGBC1992 (talk) 07:29, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
