2019-2020 edit

I propose to keep this as a single article for the 2019-2020 municipal elections, but some people might object. These elections have been dragged out because of the LNA attack on Tripoli, but there's probably no point splitting them up into two separate articles, especially given that we have so few English-language sources, and few editors. To avoid having multiple renames (which I've seen for 2019–2020 switching to 2019–20 and then back to 2019–2020, please state support/oppose (with arguments, if any) for:

  • Split the article into 2019 + 2020 separately
  • new title 2019–20 Libyan local elections
  • new title 2019–2020 Libyan local elections

Thanks, Boud (talk) 12:28, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Support 2019–2020. This is a default in case noone else participates. The argument against splitting is that this has in general been an extended process due to difficult sociological/administrative/political conditions; and there's a small enough amount of material to keep it within a single article. I have no arguments for/against 2019–20 vs 2019–2020 - this is an issue that I haven't followed for similar articles; my choice here is a default. Boud (talk) 12:28, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

2019-21 edit

The most significant elections of this cycle are still upcoming — Tripoli's in particular are currently in the preparatory stage, though no date has been announced online. Just an early heads up, since it will probably make since to continue to keep this as a single article, for the same reasons stated above. Sladnick (talk) 23:25, 8 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
