Hamilton's photo

The photo in the article lead should show Hamilton's face clearly. The current picture might be older than some that are available, but the newer photos are unclear—Hamilton's face is obscured by a pair of large, dark sunglasses. We shouldn't be using a bad photo simply because it is more recent. His face has not changed dramatically in the last twelve months. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 10:03, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

This is what I'm talking about:

The picture on the left is larger and clearer. His eyes are not obscured by glasses. The dark background of the picture on the right blends with the glasses and the shadow of his cap, making some of the details unclear. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 10:08, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

I agree that the older photo is the better portrait. -- DeFacto (talk). 10:13, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, the picture on the left is much better. We have no obligation to use a picture from the season the article deals with.Tvx1 10:16, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I just deleted this photo from the article:

Seriously, it's a terrible photo. With the black shirt and the black background, Bottas looks like a disembodied head floating in nothingness. What is the obsession with having the most-recent photo in an article when the photo is so poor? Prisonermonkeys (talk) 06:38, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Teams and drivers entry tables

On the teams and drivers entry tables, Kvyat and Gasly feature on it twice with the only difference between the 2 being a note. Why is this? Wouldn't it be better if they only appeared in it once with that note. That would make more sense for the reader, someone who doesn't know much about F1 might think that 2 Kvyat's and 2 Gasly's drove with the same number, seems kind of confusing to me. This carefully chosen and thoroughly discussed here. It's the same approach as we have taken in previous similar situations. This is the only manner in which we can keep the rounds columns information sensible an keep it clear who replaced whom and when. It's pretty obvious it's the same person on both occasions. There is wikilink to the same article for both appearance of either name.Tvx1 17:14, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
